Maca (Lepidium meyenii) – the life force of the Andes

50g packet Maca root powder

Maca grows at over 4000 metres altitude in the Peruvian highlands – under the most challenging conditions, where hardly any other plant thrives. This ability to flourish under pressure is reflected in its effects: maca is considered one of the most powerful vital plants in Andean tradition and has been used for generations to strengthen energy and endurance.

Maca is traditionally valued as a powerful root of the Andes. On an emotional level, it stands for balance, inner stability and joie de vivre. Its grounding quality can help bring different emotional states back into harmonious balance.

Maca embodies the connection between strength and gentleness, drive and rest, courage and trust. It invites you to consciously perceive feelings without being overwhelmed by them – and to find your way back to your own inner centre.

Energetically, maca is associated with grounding, self-confidence, zest for life and emotional balance. It symbolically supports the journey from inner restlessness towards greater centredness and from holding back towards an open, powerful yes to life.

Maca – when feelings find their way back to natural balance.

Recommendation: 1 tsp maca powder per cup, wonderfully combined with cinnamon for a warming, activating ceremony.
